Keyboard Navigation

- Enter — select the highlighted result

You never need to reach for the mouse.
Searching for Work Items
Type any text to search across all work items on all boards you have access to. The search uses fuzzy matching — you don't need to type the exact title or key.
- Type part of the title:
"auth re"finds"Authentication Rewrite" - Type the item key:
"KEY-245"jumps directly to that item - Type a description keyword: partial description text is also matched
Results are ranked by relevance and recency. Recently viewed or edited items surface higher.
Tip: If you know an item's key (e.g., ENG-142), type it directly to jump there instantly. Work item keys appear in the detail panel header and in table view.
Actions by Category

Tips for Speed
- Learn to open the palette by reflex — it replaces sidebar scanning for most navigation
- For frequent boards, learn to type 2-3 unique characters of the board name
- Use view names that are short and distinct so they're easy to type in the palette
- The palette searches are instant — don't hesitate to open it just to look at what's available
Tip: The command palette makes Lifecycle OS feel keyboard-native. If you're a developer or power user who prefers the keyboard, invest 10 minutes learning the palette — it will save hours every week.
